This documentary made by Panamanian director Daniël Zapateiro examines the French efforts of building the Panama Canal. Led by Ferdinand Lesseps, the project resulted in countless lives lost, bankruptcy and failure. Lesseps was maligned in France by the press, yet in Panama he is seen as a hero whose efforts laid the foundation for a wonder of the industrial revolution and economic pillar of the country.

“Paname” premiered last May, after a two years of preparations in which I played an important part. Among other things, I designed the film poster used to promote this unique historical documentary:
